"Attitudes toward psychic abilities are changing," said Susan Henson, registrar of Community
Service.
Henson has been involved in reading tarot cards, regular playing cards and palm reading for ...
years.
...[Her] clients, primarily professional people, include doctors, lawyers, and even a theology
student. Henson feels that people are beginning to accept psychic ability more easily as we
learn how little we actually know of the workings of the mind. The tendency to feel these
abilities are "evil powers" is declining.
Henson said the cards are really just a crutch in her readings. They are just an instrument,
with the real information coming from her picking up on a person's subconscious. Her
predictions have been 80-85 percent correct. After a reading, she encourages her clients
to give her feedback on its accuracy.
...
She does warn against frauds in the psychic business. Those who advertise with signs in the
yard, on the whole are likely to be fakes. Readers who tell you that you are cursed and for
costly sum can removed the curse are playing on fears.
"The only person who can put a curse on you is yourself," Henson said. "The
true psychic is here to help others, not extort them."
A firm believer in positive thinking, Henson gave this bit of advice:
"Think of the things you want as if you already have them, rather than wishing you did.
They will come to you."
